Meet Dr. Emily Conley, DDS — Cloquet’s newest dentist — and join us in welcoming Wood City Dental to the Lumberjack Mall!

With a beautifully designed and welcoming office located on the rear side of the Lumberjack Mall, Wood City Dental offers both convenience and comfort for patients. The clinic also features an interior entrance just south of the REACH Office, easily accessible from the front of the building.

A Local Dentist with Deep Roots

Dr. Conley resides in Carlton County. When the former Cloquet Dentistry office closed in October 2024, she was commuting daily to Superior for work. That all changed when she toured the vacant Lumberjack Mall space. She immediately saw the potential to create something special for her community.

“I wanted to be close to home and provide high-quality care for the people in this community,” shared Dr. Conley. “After seeing the space and envisioning what it could become, I knew this was the right step.”

She made significant investments in state-of-the-art dental equipment, including same-day crown technology and advanced computer systems, and officially opened Wood City Dental on March 17, 2025.

A Growing Team with a Heart for Care

In just a few short months, the Wood City Dental team has expanded to six staff members and continues to grow, with an open position available for another hygienist. The administrative staff is skilled at navigating insurance plans and ensuring patients get the care they need.

They are in-network with Delta Dental Premier and the Delta Dental State of Minnesota Employee Plans.

“We serve everyone — from little kids to the elderly,” said Dr. Conley. “My superpower is compassion. I truly care about educating patients on their options. We have a unicorn office — full of awesome personalities, a strong work ethic, and a beautiful environment built by a great team.”

Homegrown Commitment

Originally from Marinette, Wisconsin, Dr. Conley’s journey to Cloquet feels like coming full circle. Her family’s roots trace back to Esko and the Iron Range, and over time, her relatives have all returned to Carlton County.

“As a kid, we vacationed here to see my grandma — this has always felt like home,” Dr. Conley said. “It’s amazing that my entire family, on their own, decided to move back here too. It just feels right.”
