For over half a century, Stock Tire has been a cornerstone of the Cloquet community. Today, the long-standing business is entering an exciting new era under the ownership of Jesse Wark, whose journey back home is captured in the theme: “From Suits to Boots and Back to My Roots.”

A Fresh Start with Deep Roots

In June 2025, Jesse purchased the business from Scott Nelson, becoming the latest in a proud line of owners that began with founder Walter F. Stock, followed by Dale Beckwith, and later the Stavang brothers, Gerald and Steve. With his arrival, Jesse wasted no time breathing new life into the business. He cleared out unneeded inventory and storage, renovated customer service areas, and gave the building a fresh new look with a complete exterior repaint.

“These changes were about more than appearances,” Jesse shared. “It’s about honoring tradition while preparing for the future.”

At Stock Tire & Auto, customers can count on a wide range of tires, quick lube, and auto services. As a Goodyear distributor, the shop carries trusted tire brands but also offers the flexibility to order any tire customers request. The waiting area now offers a family-friendly environment, complete with individual customer service stations that make the process smoother for clients.

“Stock Tire & Auto is more than a tire shop, it’s a legacy I’m proud to carry forward,” Jesse said. “I believe in doing quality work, treating people with respect, and being part of a community that supports one another.”
