While the campground does not accommodate tent camping, its 21 RV camper sites are a popular destination for travelers, especially snowbirds looking for spacious sites with essential amenities.
The campground features three sites with sewer access, while all sites provide water connections, and a nearby city sewer dump station is available for registered campers. For those who value comfort and convenience, Spafford Park Campground also provides secure shower and toilet facilities, ensuring a pleasant stay.
The scenic surroundings are ideal for outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, photography, and biking. Families will appreciate the proximity to local attractions like Dunlap Island Park, making the campground an excellent choice for those seeking both adventure and relaxation.
Reservations and Amenities The campground is open for seasonal, monthly, and, when available, weekly rentals from mid-May through October 1st. Interested campers looking to secure a seasonal reservation should keep an eye out for openings in January, while monthly reservations for remaining sites typically become available in April and May.
“We attract a lot of snowbirds here annually with our spacious sites,” says Ross Biebl, Assistant Public Works Director, highlighting the appeal for those seeking a welcoming, nature-focused community.
