Community Printing, locally owned by Kris Anvid, is located at 1306 Cloquet Avenue and has been in the printing business for 40 years providing digital printing, screen printing, embroidery, and promotional products. Kris began working at Community printing while in High School and became the sole owner in 2006.
"The pandemic has been brutal on small businesses. Our lobby was closed for an entire year. We were doing business out on the street. The local community has been great. Events are finally starting to happen again, and business is starting to pick back up." - Kris
Early on in the pandemic, Kris reached out to local restaurants and printed black and white menus for them free of charge as they were trying to figure out how to function in the midst of uncertainty. "It was compassion and grace that was going to get us thru the unknown," Kris commented. "I just wanted to be able to do my part and help."
Kris and her long-term staff are there to help you promote your business, organization, or event. Whether it be business forms to promotional advertising, they can handle all of your needs. They specialize in banners, envelopes, brochures, flyers, letterhead, forms, postcards, posters, screen printing, promotional items, and wearables. Their goal is to be your one-stop-shop for your print, promo, and apparel.
For businesses, they can even set you up a custom corporate portal, "Your Storefront," with customizable templates so that your employees will be able to order their business cards and promotional items without worrying about brand consistency.
"Our goal is to exceed our customer's expectations," explains Kris. "One of my proud moments was in 2011 on a Friday night; we received a call from Canada asking to print out a confidential document and to deliver it. We agreed. It turns out it was the playwright to The Vow, and my gals delivered it to Cloquet native, Jessica Lange at her cabin in Holyoak!"
