From a social worker to a life coach to carrying on the family business, Alison is not new to business ownership. Her grandpa Gene owned the grocery store that used to sit on the site where Premiere Theatre and Cold One currently sit. Her dad, Rick Stowell, and uncle Gary Stowell developed the property. On January 1, 2019, Alison and her husband, Dean, a project manager for an electrical company, purchased Cold One from Gary.
There is no business like the liquor business. Customer service, community support, and competitive pricing are what the Crotteau's want you to experience when you visit the store and hear the Cold One name.

Staffing consists of approximately 15 employees. College students like to work here, given the flexible schedule and becoming a part of the community.
Inventory is plentiful with your favorite beer, wine, spirits, mixes, and gift sets. Fireball and Busch Light are among the top sellers of products. You will find familiar local names of Wild Cider, Duluth Cider, Earth Rider, and Moose Lake Brewery displayed.
