Sherri’s journey into bookkeeping began years ago while working alongside her older brother in Las Vegas. His company lacked a formal system, and together they built one from the ground up.
“I became good at bookkeeping because we had to figure it out,” Sherri shared. “I’ve kept refining bookkeeping systems ever since. It’s very intuitive to me. I love it.”
That hands-on, problem-solving start shaped her practical, customized approach to bookkeeping today.
After transitioning into the corporate business world, Sherri realized her true passion was supporting small businesses. She thrives on learning each client’s personality, business style, and operational rhythm. “I get to view the back-end trends of running a business,” she explained. “Not all clients are the same—volumes, complexity, and needs vary. I build each business a unique bookkeeping service package that reflects what they need.” Watching her clients grow and gain confidence through better financial insight is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
Equally important to Sherri is balance, both in business and in life. As a parent, she knew flexibility and work-life balance were non-negotiable. After living in Nevada, Utah, and Alaska, Sherri and her family returned to Cloquet in 2015 to put down roots. “I love it here, the outdoors, the trees, four seasons, the water, the hiking,” she said. “And generally, it doesn’t get too hot.” Cloquet offered the perfect environment to raise her family and grow a business grounded in community connection.
