Manager Ed Nielsen, originally of Kingston, MN, went to the University of Minnesota, where he studied mortuary science. He interned at a funeral home in Hutchinson, MN, to gain career experience. His family owns ten Gunderson Funeral Homes, most of which are in Wisconsin. He moved to Cloquet to be the Manager of Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, where he started in August 2021.
"The goal here is to continue Bob and Karen Atkins's legacy, the former business owners," said Nielson.
